CfP: Immersive Education Summit – London, November 2013

The upcoming Immersive Education European Summit in London in November has a great line-up of keynote speakers announced. The paper submission deadline is not until the end of July – so lots of time to prepare something.

In particular I’m looking forward to Mel Slater’s keynote – Mel has been doing fantastic work with VR and immersive virtual environments over decades now, and this is sure to be a major highlight. Amongst his significant body of work, his virtual re-enactments of one of the most (in)famous experiments ever from the field of psychology stands out and really has something to say not just about how ‘real’ virtual environments can be, but on how they might validly be used to study what would otherwise be impractical or impossible in the physical world.
